Natural creams are fluid substances made exclusively with organic ingredients. Today we often hear about creams and natural products, perhaps because consumers are more sensitive to health issues. Natural creams are made not only with vegetable substances, but also with other harmless, non-toxic compounds that already exist in nature. A natural cream looks like a traditional cream, which is like a fluid substance to be spread on the face or body. The difference is in the ingredients: organic in the first, chemical in the second. The disadvantage of natural cream is that without the use of special preservatives it tends to deteriorate within a few days. This is what happens to natural creams homemade, where the absence of specific preservatives causes their alteration even before they are used. To remedy this problem herbalist companies, but also pharmaceutical companies, resort to the use of natural preserves, or substances that preserve the cream, but which are free of toxic or harmful chemical compounds. Among the main natural preservatives for homonymous creams we mention the main oils, such as olive, jojoba, wheat germ, peanut and corn. Other natural preservatives are some resins, such as gum and benzoin tincture. The natural creams they can also be stored and stabilized with other organic ingredients, such as liquid lecithin, lanolin (always liquid) and beeswax. The knowledge of these substances allows to prepare the natural cream even at home. The first step is to determine the type of active substance to use, such as an herbal infusion or aloe gel. The substances dissolve in hot water and in disinfected containers. Mixtures must never be touched with bare hands, to avoid the transmission of bacteria or dust. The natural cream obtained with aloe gel is less durable than that bought in pharmacies or in herbal medicine, because the leaves of apartment plants lose their freshness almost immediately. A natural cream, therefore, can be safe and harmless even if it is not done with your own hands. When buying the product, always pay attention to the label. Natural creams must strictly be free of petroleum derivatives, silicones, Pegs, parabens, preservatives, perfumes and chemical dyes. On the other hand, purchases of natural herbal creams enriched with flower fragrances, without petrolatum and chemical compounds and always preserved with oils, waxes and biological compounds are safe.
